Pastor’s Welcome

Welcome to St. Gerard Parish. St. Gerard Parish has a rich tradition of providing Mass, Catholic
Education, and many other forms of devotion and prayers for the people of Lima and the surrounding
area. July 1, 2026 we entered a new chapter in the history of St. Gerard. Now the parish is under the
leadership and pastoral care of priests of the Diocese of Toledo. I grew up in Kalida, OH and was
ordained a priests on June 12, 1993 for the Diocese. I have been a priest for 33 years and most recently
was pastor of St. Mary Parish, Edgerton, OH; St. Michael Parish, Hicksville, OH; and St. Joseph Chapel,
Blakeslee, OH. I, and Fr. Michael Bialorucki, the Associate Pastor (also a priest of the Diocese of Toledo)
are glad that you are here and look forward to walking with you on your faith journey.

Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Dan Borgelt
